What a year!

Congratulations to those of you have been on clubs all year on making it – and welcome to all those who are joining us for 2022!

We have a number of things to cover off today! We’re going to be talking about our new Clubs Development Coordinator, Ben Manu’atu, the last round of club grants for 2021, and reaffiliating for 2022!

Just a quick note before we jump in – we are currently conducting a review of QPay based off the feedback we received both anecdotally and through the survey we conducted a couple of months ago. We aim to give you all an in-depth update in the next month about where to next from here in that space!

Greetings and Good Health. My name is Ben Manu’atu and I am UCSA’s new Clubs Development Coordinator, looking forward to meeting with you all.
A little bit about me. I recently had a baby boy in June and have moved down from Wellington, where I studied at Victoria University, to Christchurch in order to be closer to family. During my time at Vic Uni, I myself served as president and then treasurer of one of the Student Sport’s clubs, so I know where you all are coming from, having shared the same experience of running student clubs and struggling with the herculean task of maintain club financials!
I live a very active life style, practicing Judo, Wrestling, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I love camping in the bush, sitting around the campfire with friends, and reading books to my son.

Club Grants

We have one last round of Club Grants for 2022 – could you please all get any last applications through by next Wednesday 17 November @ 8:00am. There are still some funds remaining in the budget – so now is the time to get them in!

Reaffiliation for 2022!

We are now ready to open reaffiliations for 2022! Due to the ongoing review of QPay, we will be collecting the information via a form on the Clubs Knowledge Base. This is now ready for completion!

To be included in the 2022 Clubs Guide, please complete this ASAP, but no later than the 13th of December 2021.
