UCMRS is a group focusing on Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) and reenactment.

We run weekly steel-weapon martial arts classes on a variety of historical weapons including longsword, broadsword, and sword and buckler. Additionally, we run weekly dance classes, also from historical sources, and a regular archery range.

We supply club gear for all these activities, so all you need to bring is yourself!

The club also has a general interest in historical handcrafts such as blacksmithing and leatherworking. We have ties with the wider reenactment and HEMA communities, and so act as a gateway to this fantastic hobby.
