Name of event or initiative:Freaky Friday the Law Revue
Brief overview of the event or initiative:

The 2021 Law Revue production of Freaky Friday was once again cancelled due to COVID lockdowns. However, it was a fantastic performance that a select few friends and family of the cast were able to watch and enjoy. The quality of acting, singing and dancing was phenomenal.

What were the aims of the event or initiative?

The aim of the event was to bring together a group of untalented law students and put on a show that the entire University would enjoy. We set out to create a high quality performance and that was indeed achieved.

How did you make it happen?

We had majority sponsorship from Chapman Tripp and we relied on ticket sales for the shows to fund the cost of running the show at a professional level.

How did you make it better?

While the cast is always chosen from a random ballot, this year the majority of the cast had never done revue before and it really put some new life into our skits and dancing. We had an extremely tight-knit cast and have all become brilliant friends. We put so much effort into fostering friendship and supporting the whole team and it really paid off when we performed.

How did you show your commitment to sustainability?

All scripts and lyrics were distributed online so no paper copies were used.
