|Name of event or initiative:||ENSOC Winter Froth|
Brief overview of the event or initiative:
ENSOC Winter Froth is a spin on the old ENSOC BBQs held at a new venue.
What were the aims of the event or initiative?
Winter Froth was to bring people together by running a very enjoyable successful event. We wanted to bring back the idea of a cheap event with drinks and music provided.
How did you make it happen?
By moving to a new more affordable venue and using drinks from our new drink sponsors we could reduce the ticket prices right down to below $10. Using the new venue was a risk as we were unsure how it would go. Nevertheless, it provided to be a very successful night.
How did you make it better?
Changing venues and reducing ticket prices made the event better and caused it to sell out the same night tickets went on sale.
How did you show your commitment to sustainability?
Half the committee worked at the event to reduce the need to hire extra help. Cans were the drink of choice to avoid using glass.
