There may be occasions where you need to engage a contractor (fencing, scaffolding, builders, lighting/production etc.) to carry out work or provide a service for your club. Managing them is relatively straight forward.
- The contractor should provide the club with a site-specific safety plan, which includes a task analysis. This outlines the key hazards and risks that are involved with their task, and how they intend to manage these to protect both themselves and your clubs members.
- The club must ensure that your contractors act in a safe manner when they work at your event.
- You need to make sure that these contractors are aware of the risks that are present on your site. Send them your risk register prior to them starting work.
