Contractor Management

There may be occasions where you need to engage a contractor (fencing, scaffolding, builders, lighting/production etc.) to carry out work or provide a service for your club. Managing them is relatively straight forward.

Contractors Duties
  • The contractor should provide the club with a site-specific safety plan, which includes a task analysis. This outlines the key hazards and risks that are involved with their task, and how they intend to manage these to protect both themselves and your clubs members.
Clubs Duties
  • The club must ensure that your contractors act in a safe manner when they work at your event.
  • You need to make sure that these contractors are aware of the risks that are present on your site. Send them your risk register prior to them starting work.
